Do I need new fasteners to install this?

The original header bolts and studs will work fine. Clean them, apply anti-seize to the threads, and torque to factory spec using your service manual—reusing them prevents overtightening on fresh gasket material.

What if my header is warped or damaged?

A gasket seals small imperfections, but if your header is visibly cracked or bent, the gasket alone won't fix it. Inspect the header surface for flatness before installing—sand out minor corrosion with fine grit, but replace the header if it's bent.

Can I reuse the old gasket if I'm just doing a refresh?

No. Once a gasket is compressed under heat and torque, it loses its seal. Always go fresh—old gaskets will leak within weeks, especially on an older vehicle where vibration is higher.
