1999-2010 GM 2.25" Flex Pipe – 5.5" Length 3-Bolt Connection
Direct-fit flex pipe absorbs engine movement and vibration in GM V8 exhaust systems. The accordion-style construction compensates for thermal expansion and minor misalignment between manifold and exhaust components. 3-bolt flange design matches OEM connection points for straightforward integration.
Key Features
- 2.25" diameter tubing - Matches stock exhaust bore for plug-and-play flow
- Flex-joint construction - Reduces stress cracks at manifold welds by allowing natural movement
- 3-bolt flanged ends - Connects directly to existing OEM bolt holes with zero modification
Specs
- Diameter: 2.25"
- Overall length: 5.5"
- Connection: 3-bolt flanges on both ends
- Configuration: Accordion flex section
Whats Included
- Flex pipe assembly
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need gaskets or sealant to install this?
Gaskets are strongly recommended at both bolt flanges to prevent exhaust leaks. They're not included with this pipe — source them separately to match your 2.25" tube diameter and bolt pattern.
Can I weld this or does it have to stay bolted?
Keep it bolted. The flex section is designed to move, and welding it would defeat that purpose and create stress points that crack quickly.
Will this work if my manifold bolts are stripped or damaged?
The flanges bolt directly to factory points, so if those holes are compromised, you'll need to repair or re-tap them before installation. Test-fit first to confirm bolt alignment.
