Do I need any special tools to install this?

Basic hand tools and a socket set get the job done. You'll need a jack and jack stands to safely lift the vehicle, then remove the wheel and unbolt the old hub. The new assembly bolts straight to the factory mounting points.

What if my old bearing won't come off easily?

Corrosion can lock things up. Spray the fasteners with penetrating oil, let it soak for 15–20 minutes, then work the bolts loose. If the hub is really stuck, a bearing puller or hydraulic press may be necessary — that's where a shop comes in handy if you don't have the tools.

How long do these bearings typically last?

That depends on driving conditions and road salt exposure. Sealed bearings are designed for the life of the vehicle under normal use, but highway miles, rough roads, and winter salt can shorten that window. They're not serviceable — once worn, you replace the whole assembly, which is exactly what this unit is.
