When used properly, this multi-purpose snatch block can double the pulling power of a winch and change the pulling direction without risk of damaging the rope. Snatch blocks also reduce amp draw and winch overheating. Applicable working load limit (WLL) is dependent on application: 4:1 Safety Factor WLL: 12,000lb - per ASME B30.26 Standard (General rigging & lifting); 2:1 Safety Factor WLL: 24,000lb - per BS 7901 Standard (Vehicle recovery, not overhead). Minimum breaking strength: 48,000lb. Max recommended winch capacity: 12,000lb.
