Fabtech FTS2300S is one replacement front strut for an existing Fabtech FTS2300K coilover system. Sold individually: order two when replacing both front struts.
Application
1995.5–2004 Toyota Tacoma 4WD with six-lug wheels, or 1998–2003 Toyota Tacoma PreRunner 2WD with six-lug wheels, already equipped with the compatible Fabtech FTS2300K front system. Confirm the installed system before ordering.
Package
One strut with the stem bushings, washers, retaining ring and nut shown in the manufacturer photo. The coil spring, threaded sleeve, adjuster collar, spring insulator and upper mounting plate are separate parts of the existing coilover assembly. This replacement strut does not include those parts, a second strut or rear suspension components.
Installation notes
The replacement strut alone does not set the vehicle's lift height. Follow the complete Fabtech system instructions and retain the correct springs, sleeves, adjusters and mounts. On trucks without manual locking front hubs, Fabtech limits front ride height to no more than 2 inches above original height. Professional installation with a suitable external coil spring compressor is required; loaded coil springs can cause serious injury. Check snap-ring and sleeve seating, follow the specified tightening procedure, and do not overtighten the sleeve set screws. Check alignment, headlight aim and all fasteners after installation; retorque after 50 miles and follow the manual's alignment instructions.
