Fabtech FTS23039 Uniball Upper Control Arms - 2009–2018 Ram 1500 4WD Pair

Fabtech FTS23039 is a pair of front upper control arms with uniball joints, designed to replace the factory upper arms and provide additional caster for alignment.

Application

2009–2010 Dodge Ram 1500 4WD and 2011–2018 Ram 1500 4WD. This listing covers stock-height (0-inch lift) or a compatible Fabtech 6-inch suspension configuration. Confirm the vehicle and installed suspension before ordering.

Construction

The arms use 1.250-inch OD, .120-inch-wall 4130 chromoly tubing and 1-inch stainless, PTFE-lined uniballs. Fabtech specifies heat-treated 17-4 stainless uniball pins that fit the factory upper ball-joint taper without modifying the spindle, plus stainless misalignment spacers and urethane frame-side bushings.

Package

One pair: FT44211BK driver-side and FT44212BK passenger-side upper arms with the FT44214 hardware subassembly. The kit includes four FT147 misalignment spacers, two FT94506 uniball adapter pins, eight FT1037 bushing halves, four FT194 sleeves, four grease fittings and the FT90121 mounting hardware. Factory upper-arm mounting hardware is retained as specified in the instructions. Lift springs, shocks, lower control arms and a complete lift system are separate.

Installation and maintenance

Professional installation and a wheel alignment to factory specifications are required. Install the arm gussets facing upward and follow the manufacturer's lubrication, uniball pin assembly, thread-locking and torque instructions. Check brake hoses, ABS wires and tire clearance through full steering travel; oversized tires may require bumper or valance trimming. Retorque nuts, bolts and lugs after 50 miles and periodically thereafter. With oversized tires, inspect uniballs and steering components for wear every 2,500–5,000 miles.
