Verified application

Front replacement for an installed Fabtech K1014DL 6-inch Performance suspension system using FTS21008BK and FTS21009BK component boxes, where the specified original front shock is FTS810172. Confirm the installed system and shock part numbers before ordering. A complete matched Fabtech system is required; this is not a stock-height or general lift-height replacement.

The matched suspension system excludes standard cab trucks, dual rear wheel models, Quadrasteer and factory AutoRide suspension. OEM wheels and tires cannot be used with that system. The complete lift requires professional installation, welding and exhaust modifications under its instructions.

Package and installation

One shock. Two individual shocks are specified for the matched axle application; a second shock and the suspension system are separate.

The FT810172i packing list includes one FTS810172 shock, FT86016 hardware and bushing kit, FTSP01029 stem bushing pack, instructions and sticker. Upper stem and lower eye mounting.

Professional installation is recommended. Follow the instructions supplied for the exact shock and installed suspension system. Verify the bushings, mounting hardware and clearance through full suspension travel. Recheck the system after 50 miles and periodically thereafter. Dirt Logic shocks are pressurized serviceable units; keep them clean with a pH-balanced cleaner and arrange periodic professional servicing. Do not remove the nitrogen tamper cap.
